Piret Pernik
Researcher in Cyber Security at the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences in Tallinn, Estonia. Between 2013-2018 she worked as a Research Fellow in Cyber Security at the International Centre for Defence and Security (ICDS) in Tallinn. During the past six years she has researched, published and taught on a variety of cyber security subjects, including cyber security strategies, cyber commands, nation-state cyber operations as a tool for political influence, cyber security and defence policies of the EU and NATO, analysis of Russia’s cyber operations, and so forth. Before joining the ICDS she worked at the Estonian Ministry of Defence focusing on defence policy planning. She has also worked as an adviser to the National Defence Committee of the Estonian Parliament. Selection of her publications are available at the ICDS website www.icds.ee
